Road: As mentioned in an earlier trip report, there is a decent-sized washout/dip. I took it slow in a high clearance SUV and was fine. I don't know if a smaller vehicle would do as well.
Trail: It was a steady climb up the first few miles. Once higher up, there were some flatter parts of the trail with gorgeous views. At about 4.1 miles, you'll get a view of the lookout. Be aware of dirt bikes.
Lookout: The lookout was closed. However, I sat on the stairs for lunch and enjoyed the view.
Overall, a beautiful trail and rad lookout. Be sure to bring lots of water. On a Saturday, only saw several other hikers, very peaceful.
