The Enchantments — Thursday, Sep. 19, 2019

We did a quick thru day hike of the enchantments on Sept 19.  Just a touch of snow has dusted the upper enchantments and is mostly gone by the lower enchantments. A group camped in the upper enchantments said most fell about two days ago with a dusting the night of the 18th. It was mostly clear, warm and sunny when we were up there but not melting much. The top of Asgaard was a bit slick but otherwise the snow was no problem. No need for microspikes yet, but I'd bring them if you're headed up after this weekend. The trail is still completely visible and in great condition. The larches are just starting to turn. The combination of snow, foliage and sunshine made it one of the most beautiful hikes I've done through there. Head up soon!
