Had an early day at work so decided to try this trail. Beautiful day with some rain clouds just passed so I got to see a beautiful faint rainbow to the north. Liked that the trail is pretty well defined to start, but after the first 1/2 miles it got a little more overgrown along the sides and in the middle. Thankfully I paid attention to the sign at the beginning that said to keep a lookout for snakes. About 1 miles in there was a tiny rattlesnake in the middle of the trail. I think I scared him as much as he did me, but was able to safely back up and let him scurry to the side. I don’t like snakes so I turned around and went back. But looks like a beautiful after work trail otherwise.
