Trip Report

Snoqualmie Lake — Saturday, Sep. 7, 2019

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

We hiked this trail with four people and one dog. We arrived at the trail head around 11:00 a.m. By this point the parking lot was quite full. Thankfully we snagged a decent spot as another vehicle was leaving. The trail wasn't too bad at first, but got more strenuous once we reached the stairs. After that it level out and the grade remained relatively easy. We were originally planning to go all the way to Snoqualmie Lake, but decided to stop at the end of Dorothy Lake to avoid hiking in the rain. Thankfully I chosen campsite was very close to a toilet, albeit one with a screw sticking out that you had be careful of. The way back the next morning was easy going. Right up until I sprained my ankle after slipping on a stair. Thankfully we were relatively close to the trail head at that point and I was able to tighten my boots and get back before any swelling had started. Overall it was a good hike, just watch your step when the stairs are wet.
