Enjoyed the hike immensely--beautiful dry, cool, sunny day. Found the trail basically as described---however, we could not get to the last 25 feet at the end of the final lake because the boardwalk was underwater. It didn't matter, as we had a good enough view from the campground area.
However, we did find the dirt road more challenging than expected---lots of large, deep potholes for much of the road. We did a lot of zigzagging and bouncing in our car---fortunately a Forester Subaru with high clearance. Phew!
Had the trail completely to ourselves.
