Tieton River Nature Trail — Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019

Central Washington > Yakima

Awesome Drive over Chinook Pass to a really cool hike.  Beautiful views, a nice 50 degrees and clear skies, hardly any other people around made it seem like we had the entire area to ourselves.

We parked at the farthest parking lot near the bridge with no railing (which is a little nerve racking to cross, no lie.  If you have little ones, please be careful!) and walked north toward the suspension bridge.  We passed that bridge and ventured up to the basalt cliffs where there was a group of climbers teaching new climbers.  We then went down and continued north but decided to turn back before reaching the red painted bridge across from the Department of wildlife center.  All in all we did 7 miles round trip with maybe 400 to 500 elevation gain total.

Looking for an all day hike, this one is suggested!
