Heather Lake — Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019

Got to the trail head about 9am thanksgiving morning and only 5 or 6 cars in the lot. I imagine it will be much busier on Friday. Road is very rough! Made it to the trailhead pretty easily in our Outback, would highly recommend a high clearance vehicle, though there were a few lower clearance cars there. Trail was very icy, but it wasn’t covered in ice so couldn’t really put our spikes on. Trying to avoid the ice added a decent amount of time to our hike. A lot of off leash dogs when we were headed back. Lake was beautiful!
