Located just south of Eatonville is the UW Pack Forest. Currently there is a barricade on Hwy 7 just east of the junction due to a minor slide at the Alder dam. Simply drive around the barricade to the entrance of Pack Forest.
We parked up near the conference center which is 1/4 of a mile into the Pack Forest. There are no bathrooms unless it is a week day and sometimes they are not open during winter or if the center isn't in use. There are several trails and trail maps are kept in a small box at the front door of the office.
From the lot walk north approximately 2 miles. Trail markers often disappear. Take the road into the Falls Trail another mile. There is a large boulder that says FALLS. The trail splits into three separate trails. Upper, Middle and Lower Falls.
Rocks are extremely slippery and the stairs are steep and muddy.
We went 6.28 miles with little elevation gain.
