Enchanted Valley via East Fork Quinault River — Wednesday, Jun. 22, 2022

Olympic Peninsula > Pacific Coast

Note to anyone in a car with low clearance: there's lots of potholes on the last stretch of road to the trailhead. I bottomed out a couple times in my lil VW Golf.

Hiked to the chalet and back. The trail's in great shape, not nearly as muddy as some of the previous reviews stated. I guess things have dried out. There are a couple of places where you'll have to cross shallow creeks--nothing deeper than a few inches. There's plenty of spots to refill on water along the way and lots of lil nooks to camp in. Once you get to the chalet, the camping options are endless. The valley is mesmerizing, with it's sheer rock walls jutting straight up from the valley floor and snow-capped peaks. There's lots of wildlife as well. I spotted lots of elk and a couple bears, including one napping in a tree!

Happy trails!
