Not much to add to what other trip reports have said. Road has some notable patches of potholes, but I made it fine in a RAV4 and I imagine a low clearance car could make it with plenty of time and patience. I arrived at 9 to a mostly full lot (I found one last parking spot) and I started hiking a bit after 9 am, so I didn't see a whole lot of hikers on the way there. I saw more people at the lake, but mostly just backpackers who had stayed the night. I saw more hikers on the way back, and by the time I got back to the trailhead cars were parked on the roadside. Definitely glad I came on a Friday instead of a weekend!
