We hiked up to Lower Crater Lake for a quick overnight. There were a handful of blowdowns that were bad enough to require walking around through the brush, or crawling under. I cleared several smaller obstacles with a hand saw.
There was no snow on the trail, and the campsites on the north side of the lake were melted out, if a bit marshy. There was just enough wind that bugs were not annoying!
The south shore of the lake looked snow-covered. We didn’t investigate the ford or trail to the upper lake.

Yay! My friend and I noticed your efforts on our way down that you had cleaned up some of the limbs. That was very much appreciated. For a bit of twisted curiosity we counted the blowdowns over the trail (small to large)and came up with 71-76!!! Most of them could be navigated with perseverance however the trail needs some TLC. So impressed with your daughter hiking the trail. She likely had size to her advantage with the trees :)
