My friends and I went out to Copper Glance Lake Trail for a hike. It was nice being somewhere warm with beautiful wildflowers yesterday; I drank over 2 liters of water. The big downside was that the mosquitos were really bad at the trailhead and up the trail (they were bad in Winthrop too).
The stream crossings were a bit hard with some of the slippery logs; one of my friends fell in by accident 😕. My poles helped me cross. There were a ton of trees down over the trail (more than 30 I think?) and the trail was hard to follow in spots. It was a bit overgrown and we had to go off the trail in a few spots because of the downed trees.
The meadows and views were absolutely wonderful. Definitely the highlight of the hike.
I had a delicious burger, cider, and salad at the Methow Valley Cidery afterwards 😋.
