We did this hike starting at about 9 am and finishing around 11:30. Our 6 year old was the youngest hiker we saw on the trail, but she was able to do it pretty easily. There are sections with loose rock and she did trip at one point. We reenforced the need to be mindful of her footing and there were no further issues. We saw chipmunk and grouse along the way. When we got to the top it was almost empty of people. We had it to ourselves for quite a while. The trail became much busier as we made our way back down. The views of the mountains all around us throughout the hike and the view of the lake below once we got to the top were absolutely beautiful.
