Pete Lake — Friday, Jul. 29, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Doggo at the main beach for Pete Lake

All of the bugs. Bring a net, and deet, lots of deet. I Gave up counting my mosquito bites once it hit 90, I'm estimating there are 150 to 200 with lots of deet, and the bug free bracelets.

The hike was great, the water crossings can go ankle deep in some spots. There was a good amount of wild flowers too. Lots of amazing views! Walking sticks were really awesome for this trip, they made all the difference. The trail was very manageable, although several area's you want to be sure of your footing with lots of tree roots and rocks, several water crossings, and a few dry bed crossings. I wouldn't recommend for someone with knee problems, but if you do just bring your braces and walking sticks and have a lot of time. There was lots of chipmunks and the group ahead of us saw a medium sized bear. There is a "toilet' however, while we were there a tree did fall across the path to it, making it a little more tricky to get to.
