Absolutely beautiful hike. Spectacular views and wildflowers. We hiked only to Summerland, a little less than 9 miles. Not particularly strenuous ( for late 60's women.)
There was one spot, about 2 or 3 miles in, where you had to cross a log bridge. But to get to the bridge we had to hike on rocks in running water (photo attached).. It was a little tricky.. .if my friends had said "let's turn around", I would have (I'm kind of a chicken and didn't want to break my hip.) But we made it just fine Glad I had poles for that part..
Arrived at 9 am on Aug. 3, got last parking spot along the road.
