From 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM the entire trail was mainly shaded from the sun. Bug free until the second lake, then only a slight annoyance. Easy trailhead access. No other cars at 7:30. (Seafair weekend) Mainly a forest trail with some peekaboo vistas. Very pleasant. Map was needed. (AllTrails was sufficient.)
