Driving directions spot on. Gravel road has quite a few pot holes, take your time if you have a low clearance vehicle. Parking lot is paved with plenty of parking. Parking lot was filled when we arrived close to noon, but parked along the roadside, in the shade. NW Forest pass or America the beautiful required. There is a fee box to pay also. Pit potty with one potty. Trail is paved or boardwalk the whole way around. Nice, pleasant walk for out of town visitors who did not feel up to anything rigorous or with elevation. Lots of families on the trail today. Some flowers, water was a beautiful green/blue and so clear.
