Trip Report

Little Si — Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Took the Trailhead Direct from Seattle to Little Si. Got to the TH at around 9am and the parking lot and overflow were both full. A friend who drove waited for about 15 minutes and was able to find a spot from someone leaving.

There are two pit toilets at the TH that were in good condition, but were super smelly because whoever went beforehand didn't put down the lid when they were done. Please put down the lid after using the toilet so that the smells don't spread.

This was my first time doing Little Si and the trail was very well maintained. There are steep sections near the beginning and end, as mentioned in the summary, but nothing too unmanageable. We didn't take any detours at the splits in the trail. The temperature was perfect for hiking with an overcast, but I can see the trail staying cool on sunny days too since there was plenty of covering on the trail. The views at the top were like a typical day in the PNW :) There were some foliage that showed early signs of fall.

It took us about 3 hours roundtrip to do this hike, including spending time at the top to eat our lunch and taking pictures at 2 different viewing points.
