The good: Gorgeous hike, sunny day, stunning clear views, trail in great shape, easy to follow, a few springs of cold water (real blessing).
The not so good: completely exposed, very hot, minimum shade, although the views were clear, the air was smoky.
Definitely worth doing counterclockwise.
Carry a lot of water, as you’ll use it 😀.
Do not underestimate the distance from the point you see Artist Point parking (while on the trail) till you get back to Taylor Meadows. It’s about 30-40 min of walking down a steep-ish slope.
