Another great Washington state park! I enjoyed the 1.4 mile trail that circles Deep Lake. The trail is in good condition. It's a wide, graveled trail and mostly flat. It would be fun to go back and run a few laps. It was cool on the trail due to lots of big trees and the trail is lined with ferns. A great little escape from the city and only about an hour from the Seattle area. There are a few blackberry bushes, but there were only a few berries, mostly not fully ripe.
I wasn't originally planning to paddle board on the lake, but my board was still in the car from the day before and the water was too enticing not to go in. This lake is nice and calm for a post hike swim or paddle as there were no motorized boats and the water was the perfect level of refreshing but not too cold. There were lots of families out on Labor Day, but the park is large and spread out so it didn't feel crowded. There's a nice lawn space for playing frisbee and a playground if you have kids.
