Buckhorn Mountain — Saturday, Sep. 3, 2022

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
Rocky areas only to get worse

We day hiked this from Boulder Camp where we camped for a few nights. There is no water available from Boulder Camp to Buckhorn Summit, so make sure you have enough. If you don’t like steep hikes on loose rocky trails, rocks, exposed areas, and a bit of scrambling this hike is not for you. It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone. We rested at Marmot Pass and had a snack before heading up the steep trail to Buckhorn summit. It was a beautiful day and beautiful views, but it is a challenging trail for sure. #FirstTripReport
