Second time doing Isabel this summer. Not much to report except this time the bugs weren’t even noticeable. Left the trailhead at 8:30am and got to the lake by 10:30am. Lake was fogged in with intermittent sun breakthroughs, spent a few hours on the beach/water. We encountered two different groups of hikers within the first 15 minutes of our hike back down. Shortly after passing, we noticed someone had marked up the trail while we were up at the lake.
Left the lake at 1:30p and make it back to the car at 3:30p. Took the shortcut on the way down.

Thanks for the info. I will be going up there today to tear down all the ribbons, again.... I hate how people mark this trail with ribbons, they always end up on the ground and are an eyesore. I tore down about 400 ribbons back in the spring
