This is gentle, dreamy trail and offers a maze of different options. Hiked with three of my gal-pals. Arrived at the partially filled lot about 9 am. Trail is pine needle lined and easily traversed, trail-runners, sturdy sneakers would be just fine on this easy incline. Trail is well signed and one could take many side routes. We ventured out to the various view points and gradually made our way up to the popular Debbie's view to sit and have lunch. With full bellies we wondered back on trail and searched out the Bullit Fireplace and ruins. This added to the day's overall elevation and it was quite fun to see the grand stone fireplace. Imagine the charming log cabin back it was back in the day. There's even a broom to sweep out the fireplace ashes. Glad to have a map, in spite of signs, and all the trails choices, we easily could have ended in the wrong trailhead.
