Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Looking north.

After a big hike at Mount Rainier over the weekend, I needed an easy walk to stretch my legs. This was the perfect hike.

Park in the Du Pont City Hall building lot. There is a porta potty at the trailhead. The trail starts out paved but evolves into a wide flat trail along a ravine.

The trail is a gentle slope down hill and after passing through a short railroad tunnel, the trail ends at the water’s edge. A 180 degree view of Puget Sound is your reward!
