Deer in the wildflowers at Hurricane Hill

We just had time to fit in a Hurricane Hill hike before sunset, and I'd highly recommend it. The lighting was awesome, and with such sweeping views it's an ideal sunset spot.

There were a handful of lingering wildflowers although it was September, which was exciting. We were lucky to see a deer browsing in a patch of them.

Wildfire smoke was just starting to blow in, so it was a little hazy, and unfortunately by the end of the hike we could smell the smoke.

It's a popular hike, but very peaceful all the same.

We made a short video of the hike highlights (below).

Happy hiking!
