We had a beautiful day to hike Cape Flattery, with clear skies that made for great views at the end. There are four overlooks that provide views in different directions. Definitely check out each of them; they're all unique and all stunning!
I'd recommend packing binoculars, because there are sea lions on the rock just to the right of Tatoosh Island (the island with the lighthouse). They're too far away to see them well without binoculars.
The boardwalks make this trail very easygoing and even in terms of footing. They are pretty narrow as boardwalks go, so it's a little hard to pass people without stepping off the boardwalk. It's a popular spot, so it'll likely be pretty busy. That said, it's one of those places that's popular for a reason, and I'd highly recommend a visit!
I've heard there can be fog here often, so if possible, check the weather and try to visit on a sunny day for the best views.
We made a short video to share the hike highlights (below).
Happy hiking!
