Briefly, it was a great hiking day. Chilly (around 40F) in the morning, clear sky, no smoke. And no bugs !!! The day warmed to a comfortable temperature to lounge around at the top for an hour.
Didn't do the technical part to the true Rampart Ridge summit, but there's a great adjacent summit where the trail ends. The drop off on the other side is stunning.
