Parking lot has 30 vehicles when we arrived at 1pm. Noticed several vehicles around us displaying the Discover Pass. This parking lot requires the Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful. Make sure you have the right pass.
Trail was quite busy as expected but the improvement made earlier this year was nice. Fall foliage has passed its prime but still attractive. Wildfire smoke became more intense late in the afternoon. If you belong to the sensitive group, check airnow.gov before you head out. All in all, a great short fall hike!
