This report is mostly a road update. There is some patchy snow/ice but with the last few days of melting I spotted a few Subarus in the lot and chains were not necessary (and would probably break quickly the second you drove off the snow onto the very rocky road). As was stated in previous reports, the road is not fun but can be achieved with patience and the clearance of a Subaru. The trail has icy patches that require caution (hiking poles will be your best friend) and some areas of snow between the lake and the overlook. Some wore micro spikes but most did not. The view to effort ratio is heavily weighted in your favor. Beautiful views. Once the snows return, access will change quickly, I’d go sooner than later if you’re going. Two quick requests: please leash your pet and the lot is car front in parking not parallel. Those who do so take up 3 spaces for 1.
