Winter has arrived! The snow started about a third of the way up, but never got particularly deep. I hiked the whole thing in rainboots and think the most I sunk in was a four or five inches. Nothing difficult to walk in, though it did begin to be more of a slog on the road on the top. It wasn’t icy at all, but I imagine it will be after a few more freeze/ thaw cycles so bring some spikes. This is a great winter hike because the trailhead is right off 101 so always accessible, and the road is gated so it’s much quieter. I only saw three other hikers today.
