We arrived at Mount Washington TH at 8 this morning. Snow in the parking lot was cleared but the short access road from the main road to the TH was covered with slashy snow. (It could have been better when WA Park cleared snow at the parking area they could have cleared snow on the access road)
We followed the path created by snowshoe people last few days. As we climbed up, the snow got much softer and easier to walk. The clouds got cleared a bit in the mid-morning and the temperature raised so it was not so cold. It was almost a perfect winter hiking day, We did not encounter one person on this hike. The mountain was beautiful and we could see the surrounding mountains at the summit. It took seven hours and 20 min for the round trip including 30 min lunch.
