Took a friend out to get some snow experience and boy, she sure did! Went just a short way (approx .8 miles) up, breaking trail in 6-12in of lovely fluffy powder with harder crusty snow of various depth and softness underneath. Wind was pretty intense, carving beautiful drifts and curling snow-nadoes high into the air, and we turned around quickly due to the concerning creaking of bending trees and reports of worsening road conditions - which ended up being a good choice as even I-90 had considerable ice. Parking lot was plowed and icy but drivable with caution.
