Went up Section Line this morning. New snow on ice made putting on micro spikes right after turning onto Section Line from the Talus Rock trail after climbing up Nook. The snow starts about 1/3 of the way up and is continuous.
Plan was to go over to West Tiger #2 and down K3 – one of my favorite winter loops…but, it was windy, cold, and cloudy. So cloudy I couldn’t see Tiger #2. Decided to just turn and head down.
I typically don’t like Cable Line when its muddy and slippery but as @kidzwon'thike reported earlier this week its easier with the ground frozen so I decided to head down Cable Line. Enjoyable, it was. More than I remember and definitely due to the conditions and me wearing micro spikes.
Nothing special today. Trails were fine albeit with snow over ice. No blow downs on this routing. I returned to Tradition Lake via TMT from lower Cable Line.
