Poo Poo Point - Chirico Trail — Tuesday, Apr. 4, 2023

Poo Poo Point was its normal delightful workout today, with plenty of parking—hint:weekday—and friendly hikers and lots of people lugging their parasails (I think). I hadn’t been up the trail in a while due to medical issues and surgeries, and was pleased to top out in 1:01. There was rapidly melting snow on the top third, and therefore much mud. I didn’t need spikes, but was glad to have two poles for descending in slush and mud. The views from the south takeoff point and the top were great, as always when not weathered out. Highly recommended for weekdays. Highly not recommended for weekends, unless you’re and early riser.
