Decided to explore Lime Kiln instead of traversing east for wildflowers. The trail is in decent condition and has logs mostly cleared up to the kiln. There are areas that could use drainage repair work, but the mud isn't very deep at least. Once past the kiln, there are more fallen trees that you'll need to scramble over but it's doable. The river is incredibly silty and full, and there were a few friendly river kayakers heading downstrea at the rocky beach/lunch spot at the end.
Much to my happy surprise, the trillium are beginning to pop up and bloom, and should be nice in the next few weeks. Skunk cabbage is just starting to bloom too, salmon berry and oso berry are looking good. Nice signage work by the local eagle scout group.
