I decided we needed to get outside despite the dreary weather, so we headed down to Harper Park. Plenty of parking in the lot off Southworth Drive with a grassy area where an owner was exercising their dogs. We headed across the bridge to the lookout, but that's only a quarter-mile or so, so we backtracked and went up the main trail. Trail was a little muddy, but not too bad. There is a steep-ish section, but traction was okay there. Plenty of (blank) trail markers and benches along the way. You can go all the way up to the trailhead at Harper Hill Drive where there are a few parking spots on the side of the road south of the trailhead near the newer park sign. Coming back down we tried a little offshoot which was well-maintained and had the benefit of some dinosaurs keeping watch. After we made it back to the car we went across Southworth Dr. to the waterfront, but it was a bit wet and the tide was too high for checking out the beach. There was a little evidence of people camping out (or living) in the park maybe previously but nobody was there now and garbage was minimal.
