Lake Serene — Friday, Apr. 28, 2023

Hiked to the lake today (Friday, 4/28/23). Beautiful day and the falls are showing their best! The last third of a mile is snow covered, as well as all around the lake. So take some spikes if you have them. We didn’t, but made it without, though poles were very helpful. Found several good stands of trillium in bloom along the way, mostly before heading up. Heard an avalanche or two on our way up. Some mentioned seeing them. There might be one new tree fall but easily could navigate around. Trail is in overall good condition and very little mud.
