We were looking for blooming wild rhododendrons, so we hiked the Maple Valley loop trail to the Rhodie Cut off trail.
The trail is in good shape, but rather steep once on the Rhodie Cut Off trail. There are numerous rhododendron plants, but only about a dozen blooming. They were beautiful, though.
We continued on to Mt. Walker where there are hundreds of wild rhododendrons blooming.
