Snow Peak — Thursday, Jun. 1, 2023

Eastern Washington > Okanogan Highlands/Kettle River Range

Spent 3 nights at Snow Peak Cabin with friends. Trail from Snow peak TH is snow free and in great shape, drive in is also easy on forest road. Cabin is missing a cot (still!) and only sleeps three so be aware. Slept in my tent, which was actually quite lovely with the full moon. We had backpackers show up the last night and so we gave them the camp sight and moved closer to our rented cabin. They had come from White Mountain and were exhausted, lots of blowdowns. Water was plentiful, pouring into trough. Hiked to top of Snow peak, snow on top but easy to walk on. Lady bugs were covering  the peak. Hiked as far as Bald Mountain where we encountered numerous down trees on the trail.
