The boulders in the road have now been moved, making it easy to get by them. There are a bunch of potholes but none too difficult if you take it slow.
I hiked this trail two years ago and the trail is delightful as I remembered, skirting the river as you hike through old growth. Lots of bunchberry and vanilla leaf in bloom along with some other wildflowers here and there. Found a large gathering of swallowtail butterflies feasting on charcoal in the fire pit by the river at Camp Handy. Trail is in great condition.
