Great hike if you're getting back into hiking after an injury. Started at the trailhead at the southern location and immediately went counter clockwise up the switchbacks. They weren't very steep and you get them out of the way quickly. After that, it's all pretty much flat. Even tho it's starting to get hot, I'd suggest wearing long pants bc the plants come into the trail at times and will rub up against you.
It says it's 6ish miles but my watch logged over 7 bc I took some detours on the path to look at the views. I got to the lot at 9, started at 9:15, finished around 11:30. The traffic (no accident, just lots of people) on highway 2 back to seattle added an extra hour so just keep that in mind. If I had known, I prob wouldn't have chosen this hike.

The highway 2 traffic is a Sunday thing. People coming back from Eastern washington. It's been a problem for decades. I always avoid hiking on highway 2 corridor on a Sunday.
