I arrived at the half empty trailhead at 6:45 in the ante-meridian and was rewarded with a peaceful and mostly solitary hike up for the most part. My favorite view of Ollalie Lake is the overlook on the Pratt Trail with Rainier in the background. This adds 2.4 miles and an extra few hundred feet of elevation gain to the otherwise relatively short hike. On the way down I had plenty of company, cars being lined up a good half mile or so down the road.
