Trail is in good shape. A little muddy here and there as snow melts and what not. But nothing too crazy. The water crossing is still fairly easy, it hasn’t been warm enough for the water to be raging yet. Snow starts at about 2.35 miles in, just before the railroad grade trail split, and continues the rest of the way up to the lookout. I would definitely take micro spikes as well as some sort of offline map/GPS track you can follow to help you find your way once you get to the snow. The boot path is not easy/obvious to follow. Even though the temperature was only 48F the snow was still soft on top. Forest road is in good shape as well, not to many pot holes till like the last 2 miles. Also don’t park to close to the edge of the road near a ditch like this unfortunate soul did….

The skid mark makes me think that he slid off the road.
