Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Big Creek Falls by lebkuchen

As the description says, this is a lovely hike. The small elevation gain means that it is not very demanding, and it is mostly in the shade. These factors, combined with the fact that standing in front of Big Creek Falls is like facing a giant air conditioner, mean that this is good choice for a warm summer day. There are currently ripe huckleberries and salmon berries along the trail, along with tiger lily and bleeding heart blossoms.

We stopped at Otter Falls, too, but it is mostly a wet slick on the rock face right now; I can't recommend it.

Some other trip reports have commented on the large and numerous potholes once you pass the campground. While it's true that the road is bad, I can confirm that if you are VERY careful, it is possible to get thru in a Corolla.

The parking lot is larger than I expected (20-30 spots?), and even by 12:30p today it was only partly full.
