The Easy Pass trail is a little gem in this part of the North Cascades, never seeming to draw crowds, but more than equal to the more popular (and often overrun) local options. The trail is in good shape, though vegetation in the middle section is beginning to get thick. There are also two good options for the mid-trail creek crossing. The out-and-back to the pass is around 7.5 miles with 3,000 feet of elevation gain on a very consistent 15% grade. All the snow up top has melted, and wildflowers are still going strong, particularly the columbines in the lower scree sections. At the pass, views of Mount Logan, Black Peak, and others in the area are awesome!
