I ran the PCT from Snoqualmie Pass to Silver Peak and back today. Lots of hikers between FS road 9070 and Silver Peak and around Lodge Lake, but not many in-between. Saw a few backpackers - maybe PCT SOBOs - and ran into a WTA (I think) crew working on the trail near the pass (thank you)!
I'd read reports that bugs were getting annoying but they were a non-issue today. The scramble up to Silver Peak was fun but hiking on all the loose rock before and after, not so much. Pushing to the summit is definitely worth it for a great view of Lake Annette (see pic) that you can't get from further down.
I don't think this would be a great peak to bring a dog up to because of all the jagged rock. Quite of few other groups tagging the peak while I was there - some seemed more comfortable with it than others - and some groups turned back before.
