Enjoyed this hike! Great views at the end. Nice variety with waterfalls, very clear water, wildflowers, trees+some older growth. Couple mosquitos but not an issue this time. Some shade and some sun, more exposed towards the end. Trail was well maintained, no issues. Lots of parking in the lots. I always think it's fun when a trail cuts through a patch of rocky chunks (talus), especially when you can look up and see the steep frozen rock slide coming down. Surprising that source lake is so small - a mirror-like gem. Fun to look up and see steep slabs of rock, and to sometimes see toothlike jagged mountain peaks in the distance.
Note that the trail seems to fade away at the end. A minor scramble through the rocks (far above Source Lake), and then we stopped at the big boulder. We could have gone further, but called it a day.
Potential minuses: plenty of other hikers on the first part of the trail because of the shared route with Snow Lake. Trail was a bit rocky at times, I was completely fine with my tougher boots but it wouldn't have been as good in sneakers. My partner was glad to have her hiking pole but none of us had any issues or sore ankles :)
Bonus: we saw and heard a Pika!
