Bandera Mountain — Thursday, Jul. 13, 2023

Gorgeous hike, the rocky bit at the end is no joke--it took some time with the sun blazing down, but the views at the top were worth it! First time for me, it was a little unclear from the trail description how far up to keep going...so I just climbed my little heart (and lungs) out until I could see all the things. Some nice clouded views of Rainier, wildflowers, tons of butterflies, other bugs were practically nonexistent, not too many people, those there were heading to Mason Lake instead.

I'd bring poles, they were extremely useful getting down off the rocks.  Have fun!
