The hike was simply amazing..from the evidence of the 1918 landslide that moved a mountain, to the wreckage of the plane crash, to the mine it self. The main trail was easy to walk, the trail up to the plane crash was the most difficult part and required rest periods. We did explore a few hundred yards into the mine(wear water proof shoes and have a good flashlight) If you have the time to hike this trail 👣 I would recommend it.
This is one of my favorite trails and I am not an avid hiker.
Getting to this trail was tricky as the signs that lead to this trailhead were missing so we drove the wrong way for about 45 mins before back tracking and speaking w a ranger who told us to drive straight and not turn off the road as the directions said.
All in all beautiful views, and really peaceful scenery
This jedi approves.
