Heybrook Lookout — Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023

Pleasant though steep hike.  Arrived weekday summer morning around 11:15.  About 7 cars total in the lot.  Well maintained shady trail.  Was not bothered by mosquitoes.  The trail is steep, but manageable.  I took plenty of breaks when I felt winded and made it.  The kids scampered up like mountain goats and explored the boulders and logs along the way.  The tower is a marvel and the views beautiful.  There were more people during the hike down, about eleven total cars in the lot when we left.
